About Us

Kaycee Junior School's History

Kaycee Junior School was established by its Founders and Proprietors, Mr. and Mrs. Abimbola, who are proud citizens of Lesotho. Their distinguished careers in education began in 1978, giving them over 45 years of teaching experience across all levels, from preschool to high school.

After serving as educators within Lesotho for more than a decade, they followed their deep passion for children’s ministry to open Kaycee Junior School in 2006.

As both the visionaries and owners of the institution, their mission is to provide high-quality education that produces future leaders for both Lesotho and the international community.

Kaycee Admission

Admission into the kindergarten is open to pupils who are at least three years old however the admission depends on availability.

Admission into the primary will strictly be on merit and availability of space.

Key Of Success

  • Conduct morning devotion with all the children every day using a Christian devotional guide.
  • Teach the children basic educational principles from age three.

School Uniforms

WINTER UNIFORM:

Navy blue tracksuit with navy blue socks.

SUMMER UNIFORM:

Floppy hat, white over Check with white socks.

The School Board

The school board is a committee nominated and appointed by the founders of the school. The term of office of the school board last three years. The committee ensures that the running of the school is carried out smoothly.  The school board consist of the following nine members appointed by the proprietor and approved by the minister of Education:

  • Two members nominated by the proprietor, one of whom is the chairperson;
  • Three members nominated by the parents, one of whom is the vice-chairperson;
  • One teacher nominated by the teachers;
  • A gazette chief or his representative under whose jurisdiction the school falls;
  • A member of the local council or his or her representative under whose jurisdiction the school falls and
  • The principal of the school is also the secretary of the board.

 

FUNCTION OF THE SCHOOL BOARD:

The school is conducted by the proprietor; the school board operates as a support to the proprietor to see that the school is running smoothly and solicits the support of the government to guide and support the school.
